Terms and Conditions

Information on the terms and conditions of purchase on Risto.com: orders, payments, deliveries, warranty and customer support.

These terms and conditions may be amended or updated at any time by Risto. The information provided on www.risto.com is subject to change without notice. Risto accepts no liability for any errors or omissions in the information provided on the website. By making a purchase, you accept these terms and conditions.

Product prices do not include delivery charges to the smaller Italian islands or abroad. These prices are shown on the product page or in the shopping basket of our online shop.

Risto reserves the right to amend the prices published on the website at any time. The prices of purchased products may be subject to increases due to market fluctuations, changes in production costs or greater or lesser production difficulties resulting from force majeure, such as, for example, pandemics or natural disasters.

Any price increases for items ordered but not yet delivered will be promptly communicated to the purchaser, who may accept the change or cancel their order no later than 15 days from the date of such notification, subject to a refund of any amounts already paid as a deposit or final payment and without any withdrawal fees.

Products previously purchased and received at a certain price may be subject to price changes in the future, either upwards or downwards.

Installation costs, initial commissioning and product testing are excluded from the product prices.

The prices published in the Risto shop are valid exclusively for online purchases and do not correspond to those displayed in our showroom.

The delivery charge varies depending on the country selected.

Any Risto product may be modified at any time and without prior notice, with a view to improving the product. Dimensions, weights, power ratings and images are for guidance only. Product technical specifications are subject to change.

Pre-order products offered on risto.com represent an exclusive opportunity to purchase professional equipment at prices lower than the standard retail price. These products are available in limited quantities and with an estimated arrival date, based on information provided by suppliers.

By placing a pre-order, the customer agrees that:

  • Estimated delivery times: The arrival date shown is to be considered approximate. Any delays in availability shall not constitute grounds for cancelling the order or claiming compensation.
  • Commitment to purchase: A pre-order is binding, as it allows you to reserve a product at an exclusive promotional price.
  • Availability restrictions: As stock is limited, we recommend placing your order as soon as possible to secure the product you want.

This purchasing method allows you to plan ahead and make significant savings, whilst recognising that unforeseen circumstances in the supply chain may affect delivery times. risto.com undertakes to keep customers informed of any changes regarding the availability of the products ordered.

The contract between risto.com (a brand of Onorato Group Srl) and the Customer shall be deemed to have been concluded upon acceptance of the order by risto.com. Such acceptance is deemed to be tacit, unless otherwise communicated to the Customer, following verification of the order. By placing an order online, by telephone or via email, the Customer declares that they have read and fully accept the general terms and conditions of sale and payment set out below. The Customer must take note of these general terms and conditions of sale (in accordance with the provisions of Articles 50 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/05) by printing and/or saving a copy, to support any future complaint. A copy in PDF format will be sent by email upon completion of the order.

Delivery times depend on the type of product purchased: if the item is in stock, delivery will be quicker; if we need to wait for a supplier to make it available following the order being placed, delivery times may be longer, beyond our control.

Goods ready for immediate dispatch will be dispatched within 10 working days of payment being credited; for goods not ready for immediate dispatch, waiting times vary from 10 to 30 days. Delivery times are indicative and depend on the working hours and days of the partners we rely on. Under no circumstances may a refund be claimed from Risto for delivery delays, nor may such a delay constitute grounds for terminating the contract. Any complaints regarding delivery delays must be addressed directly to the carrier. In the event of refusal to accept the goods, as unilateral cancellation of the contract is excluded, any amount already paid will in any case be retained as a confirmation deposit, without prejudice to Risto’s right to claim any outstanding balance.

Strict delivery dates must be communicated to Risto by email to info@risto.com. During the order process, our company will issue the appropriate accompanying document for the goods dispatched (Consignment Note), will register the electronic invoice in the relevant tax system, and, upon request, will send the pro forma invoice to the email address previously provided by the Customer. The information provided by the Customer at the time of ordering shall be deemed accurate for the purposes of issuing these documents. Once the invoice has been issued, no changes can be made to it.

To facilitate delivery, Risto includes, free of charge with every order, a service whereby the courier provides advance notice by telephone or email. With this service, the Customer is contacted by telephone or email by the courier to arrange the day and time slot for delivery. We therefore recommend that you provide a valid telephone number and email address. The telephone notification is intended to allow you to arrange delivery with the courier within 48 hours of receiving the notification. Any storage charges arising from deliveries made after the aforementioned deadline (48 hours from the telephone notification) or due to the customer repeatedly failing to respond to the courier’s attempts to contact them to arrange delivery will be borne entirely by the customer.

The Risto team would like to point out that porterage is excluded from the delivery terms, as the carrier is only required to unload the parcel at the rear of the lorry. Should a tail-lift service not be available, the goods will be unloaded onto the pavement.

The national and international couriers used by Risto to deliver professional furniture and equipment operate from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (these conditions are imposed by third parties and therefore cannot be altered in any way, neither by the customer nor by the supplier). The freight carriers do not offer delivery by appointment, but allow the customer to specify their availability within a specific 4-hour time slot. Deliveries of orders comprising items from different suppliers do not generally take place in a single consignment and, consequently, delivery times will vary.

The Customer may be kept informed of the route taken by the dispatched goods and monitor dispatch times via the dedicated tracking request within a section of the customer profile.

Should serious national or international emergencies arise, such as wars, epidemics, natural disasters or other extraordinary events, which could cause critical situations from a medical, social and economic perspective, these must be dealt with on a case-by-case basis and the customer will be notified promptly.
In such cases, no liability shall be accepted for any delays in production and/or delivery attributable to the aforementioned emergencies; in such circumstances, the consumer shall have no right to returns, refunds, discounts, compensation or any other financial compensation in the event of an unforeseen delay in the production or delivery of goods purchased from Onorato Group Srl or via this risto.com platform.

Should delivery dates be subject to significant delays due to the emergencies mentioned above – whether caused by production difficulties or courier delays – risto.com will endeavour to notify the customer of such delays and provide all necessary assistance.

In such cases, surcharges may be applied even after the order has been confirmed, should Onorato Group Srl face an excessive and unforeseen burden in fulfilling the service, arising from extraordinary and unforeseeable events, such as increases in transport, production or utility costs due to extraordinary events.

In such exceptional cases, the customer, who expresses their intention not to wait for the extended delivery times or not to accept the surcharge, be granted, on an exceptional basis, the right to cancel their order provided the goods have not yet been dispatched or delivered, subject to payment of a penalty of 40% df the total cost, to cover production costs. Any additional amount already paid will then be refunded. Should the goods already be in the process of being delivered to the customer, it will not be possible to exercise the right of withdrawal.

All Risto shipments are insured to ensure the highest standard of service.

The national and international couriers used by Risto to deliver professional furniture and equipment operate from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (these conditions are imposed by third parties and therefore cannot be altered, either by the customer or the supplier). The freight carriers do not offer delivery by appointment, but allow the customer to specify their availability within a specific 4-hour time slot. Deliveries of orders comprising items from different suppliers are not generally made in a single consignment and, consequently, delivery times will vary. Risto shall therefore not be held liable for any delays in delivery: for further information, please contact our logistics and dispatch department by telephone on +39 02 40706810.

You can track the progress of your shipment and monitor delivery times by requesting a tracking number, which you can do via a dedicated section of your customer profile.

Upon receipt of the goods, you must always request the paper delivery note from the courier, sign it subject to verification and stamp it (if the courier has a handheld device and states that the signature and reservation entered on it have the same legal validity, you must still request the paper document and proceed as specified above).

You must check:

  • the number of packages
  • the condition of the products: for the insurance to cover any damage, the words ‘Box broken’ or ‘Box wet’ or another specific reason must be clearly stated; the generic phrase ‘Subject to inspection’ without a reason has no legal validity.
  • If the box shows any damage (the only condition for obtaining an insurance claim): in this case, you must note the reservation on the goods delivery note, stating ‘Box broken’ or ‘Box wet’ or another reason. Furthermore, you must keep a copy of this and send it to us promptly by email. If the packaging is intact but you have doubts about the condition of the product inside: sign with a reservation and specify any concerns (for example, write: ‘I accept subject to inspection because the product appears to be damaged due to the presence of fragments, internal noises, the unusual shape of the packaging, etc.’)

Please note: the ‘subject to inspection’ note must be made in the courier’s presence and not afterwards (otherwise it will have no legal validity).

We recommend that you write one of the above statements clearly and legibly (for further assurance, we also recommend that you keep a copy of what you have written). You must then immediately contact our customer service team on +39 02 40706810 or send an email to info@risto.com (on the same day), attaching all the necessary documents to substantiate your report. In the event that the courier does not provide a paper delivery note but is equipped with a handheld device, you should take a photo of the device showing the reservation clearly, so that you have a further tangible document confirming that the goods were collected subject to reservation.

Should the instructions set out here not be followed, risto.com will be unable to intervene in any way in the event of damage to the items received.

All products offered by Risto are covered by an original 12-month Italian warranty for conformity defects. Second-hand goods, however, are not covered by a warranty. The following are not covered by the warranty defects caused by misuse or improper use of the product: therefore, the warranty does not cover the electrical components of a product such as light bulbs, neon tubes, LEDs, thermostats, heating elements, motherboards, etc.; direct or indirect damage caused by errors or discrepancies in installation or incorrect use of the machine; damage caused by hard or iron-rich water, by the user’s negligence or inability to operate the appliance correctly, by irregular mains voltage, by insufficient pressure or impurities in water or gas systems, malfunction of the suction systems, or damage resulting from unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure or unauthorised intervention by a third party.

The warranty does not cover parts subject to wear and tear, such as, by way of example only, seals, light bulbs, glass panels and knobs. The warranty does not cover labour costs.

To claim under the warranty, the Customer must retain the invoice (or delivery note) and the original packaging received upon delivery. Within 12 months, Risto undertakes to supply faulty spare parts free of charge, but does not cover the postage costs for the spare part or the labour costs for its replacement (these are to be borne by the purchaser and paid by bank transfer).

To receive warranty assistance, you must keep the invoice (or delivery note) and the original packaging you receive. Furthermore, in accordance with the terms of the warranty, you are required to keep the damaged parts that have been replaced and not to lose them.

Risto, at the purchaser’s request, provides installation and technical support for the products sold, the costs of which are borne by the purchaser. In the event of a product fault, the customer must notify us by email at info@risto.com and wait to be contacted by our customer service team, with whom they will agree on the course of action. The costs of specialised technical work will be communicated on a case-by-case basis. Requests for the installation of purchased equipment must be made at the time of purchase: Risto will provide a quotation and inform the customer of the charge before carrying out any work.

The right of withdrawal may be exercised in accordance with Article 64 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/05 and applies only to end-consumer customers, not to VAT-registered businesses. To exercise this right, the customer must send Risto a formal notice within 14 days of the date of receipt of the goods.

This notice may be sent by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, by fax, by certified email to onoratogroupsrl@pec.it, or by using the withdrawal form attached.

The customer must state their intention to exercise the right of withdrawal, specifying:

  • order number
  • invoice number
  • item codes and quantities
  • whether the withdrawal is partial (only in the case of the purchase of multiple items) or total
  • bank details for the refund to be paid by bank transfer (IBAN of the invoice holder).

The goods must be returned undamaged in their original, properly sealed packaging, complete with all their parts (including packaging, internal and external protective materials, wooden pallets and any documentation and accessories: manuals, assembly tools, etc.), and sent to Risto via a courier arranged by the customer.

The postage costs for returning the goods are to be borne by the customer.

Risto, after verifying the condition of the goods, will proceed within 14 days to refund the value of the product(s), deducting only the amount of the postage costs, additional services and any cash-on-delivery charges incurred for the delivery of the goods to the customer and indicated on the accompanying invoice. In the case of electronic payments, the refund will be made via the original payment method. This right applies to the product purchased in its entirety; it is not possible to exercise the right of withdrawal in respect of only part of the product.

The customer bears full responsibility for the return shipment until we have confirmed receipt of the goods at our warehouse. In the event of damage to the item during return transport, Risto will notify the customer of the incident (within 5 working days of receiving the product), to enable them to promptly lodge a claim against the courier they have chosen and obtain a refund for the value of the goods (if insured). Should this occur, the product will be returned to the customer, who must, at the same time, cancel the request for withdrawal and, consequently, the refund.

Risto accepts no liability whatsoever for damage and/or theft or loss of goods returned via shipments not insured by the customer. Once the product has arrived at our warehouse, it will be inspected to assess any damage or tampering not resulting from transport. Should the original packaging and/or wrapping be found to be excessively damaged, Risto will deduct the costs incurred in restoring them from the refund due.

The right of withdrawal shall lapse entirely, due to the lack of the essential condition of the goods’ integrity, in cases where Risto ascertains that:

  • careless use of the goods has compromised their integrity or usability
  • the outer packaging and/or the original inner packaging are missing

  • essential components of the product (accessories, screws, etc.) are missing

  • the product has been damaged for reasons other than its lawful transport

Should the right of withdrawal lapse, the goods will remain in storage at Risto’s premises, available to the customer, pending collection at their own expense. Furthermore, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised in the case of purchases of products manufactured specifically for the customer and/or personalised according to the customer’s specifications and/or for which finishes, colours or fabrics have been produced based on samples chosen or sent by the customer.

A request to cancel an order must be made by completing the following form. The request will be assessed in accordance with the general terms and conditions and may be approved or rejected. However, a cancellation request cannot be approved in the case of goods produced specifically for the customer: in such cases, should the customer wish to cancel an order for a product that has already been manufactured, or is in the process of being manufactured, specifically for them, they must pay a penalty equal to 90% dthe cost of the goods, as compensation for production costs. In the case of goods ready for delivery, the customer must pay a penalty equal to 40% dthe cost of the goods as compensation for production costs.

The withdrawal form order must be sent via certified email (PEC) to the following address: onoratogroupsrl@pec.it.

All of Risto’s payment methods are designed to allow you to assess the potential of your investment as effectively as possible:

Advance payment by bank transfer upon placing the order, amounting to 100% dof the total amount

The goods will only be dispatched once we have verified that the payment has been credited to our bank account.

Furthermore, the transfer must be credited within 7 days of the order being placed. Otherwise, Risto may not consider the order valid, and the order may be subject to changes – including price increases – due to market fluctuations, the cost of raw materials and labour.

A copy of the bank transfer confirming payment must state the order reference and must be sent to info@risto.com.

Payment by bank transfer: deposit upon placing the order and balance due when goods are ready

This method will be applied subject to agreement with Risto’s sales team.

For orders containing one or more products not in stock

A 40% deposit is payable at the time of ordering, with the balance due when the goods are ready for dispatch.

The customer may agree with Risto to pay a deposit of at least 40% df the total amount. This deposit shall constitute a binding acceptance of the order and a price lock. Upon receipt of the deposit, the goods will be put into production and the purchase price will not be subject to change.

Payment of a deposit of less than 40xml-ph-0000@deepl.internalll not lock in the price, which may be subject to change – including an increase – depending on market fluctuations and the cost of raw materials and labour.

As soon as the goods ordered have been produced and are ready for delivery, the customer will be notified and must settle the full amount within the following 2 weeks.

The goods will only be dispatched once we have verified that the payment has been credited to our bank account. A copy of the bank transfer confirming payment must include the order reference and must be sent to info@risto.com.

Should payment not be received within two weeks, Risto will apply a penalty of €50 per item, equivalent to the daily storage costs of the goods as charged by the manufacturer.

Cash on delivery for orders up to €5,000 including VAT

A charge for transport and cash handling, amounting to 8% df the total product value, will always be added to the total whenever the courier is instructed to collect a cash-on-delivery payment.

For products marked with the “Ready for Delivery” sticker

If your basket contains ONLY ‘Ready for Delivery’ products and the total is less than €2,500 (including VAT), you can conveniently pay the total in cash on delivery.

If your basket contains ONLY ‘Ready for Delivery’ products and the total is between €2,500 and €5,000 (including VAT), payment can be made by paying a 15% deposit via bank transfer and the remaining 85% in cash on delivery.

For “Non-In-Stock” products

If your basket contains one or more ‘Not in Stock’ products and the total is less than €500 (including VAT), you can simply pay the full amount in cash on delivery.

If your basket contains one or more products that are not in stock and the total is between €500 and €7,700 (including VAT), payment can be made with a 40% deposit by bank transfer and the remaining 60% in cash on delivery.

In any case, you will receive an email with all the payment details.

Furthermore, for “Non-In-Stock” products, Risto reserves the right to request a deposit different from that mentioned above, to be paid by bank transfer, regardless of the total order amount.
